CICAE in Agora Portals

CICAE in Agora Portals

On Monday, 30 September, the Board of Directors for the Association of Private and Independent Schools (CICAE) held their first meeting of the academic year at Agora Portals International School, the only school in the Balearic Islands that belongs to this prestigious organisation. The directors discussed a range of topics relevant to the future of education in general, and to the future of private education in particular, in addition to setting out the association’s objectives for the coming academic year and discussing the educational challenges that might lie ahead. The attendees also took a tour of the school, visiting our wonderful facilities, and learning first-hand a bit more about our school and the wide range of educational opportunities that we offer.

The primary goal of the Association of Private and Independent Schools CICAE (Circle of Quality Education) is to promote the benefits of, and advocate on behalf of, the private and independent education sectors. The association works to facilitate the improvement of the schools it represents through a programme of meetings and events organised for leaders, teachers and students. Fifty-three of Spain’s most prestigious schools form the CICAE community, and the association is led by a team of directors selected from twelve of its schools. Rafael Barea, the director of Agora Portals International School, sits on the board as the representative for all of the NACE schools belonging to the group.
